Liverpool Striker Jailed For Refusing Drink Driving Breath Test

Former Liverpool striker Dean Saunders was jailed recently for refusing to provide a random breath test sample.

As reported by Sky News, Mr Saunders was intercepted in May after his Audi A8 allegedly failed to give way at a roundabout at speed whilst driving erratically.

Chester Magistrates Court imposed 10 weeks actual jail.

Queenslanders charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath face a potential lifetime loss of licence and a mandatory minimum 6 month licence disqualification.

Whilst technically a possibility, actual jail for a first time offence in Queensland is unlikely.
