As reported by ABC News, the fomer boss of South Australia's road safety body, the Motor Accident Commission, has allegedly been charged with Drink Driving.

Mr Benjamin Tuffnell was General Manager of Corporate Affairs at the Motor Accident Commission from 2007 to 2014.

Mr Tuffnell recently appeared at Adelaide Magistrates Court charged with Drink Driving, among other charges.

His lawyer indicated to the court that he would be contesting all charges.

The matter was adjourned for mention in October.

Queenslanders charged with first time Drink Driving face up to a lifetime loss of licence, depending upon their blood alcohol concentration reading, but may be eligible to apply for a work licence allowing them to continue driving during their licence disqualification if their reading is 0.149 or below, and certain other prerequisites are met.
